Resume and Job Posting – turning phpFox to Job Board place

Social Network has the ability to be integrated with Job Portal, which somehow similar to LinkedIn having Social Network Feature. However, since the configuration and complexity of modules, we received many questions, not only asking how to setup the module but also how to use it. As request from many clients, we wrote a simple tutorial which can help you solve your requests.
This tutorial will guide you answer these questions:
- How to setup Resume module with basic steps.
- What features needed to turn Social Network/phpFox to Job Portal.
- How Resume and Social Connect are perfectly match for your members.
- What different between Closed Site/Opened Site.
- How to monetary with Resume and Job Posting.
Now, let see how Resume and Job Posting turn all of those into real.
1. How to setup Resume module with basic steps?
After Resume is installed on your site, you need to set up Social Bridge module for the LinkedIn connection. Social Bridge can be installed normally just like Resume module, but you need to set up LinkedIn API key for this module to work. After LinkedIn API key is set, you and your users can start using Resume module, please read the following steps to use this module.
2. What features needed to turn Social Network/phpFox to Job Portal?
For a Job Portal site – it includes Resume and Job Posting, below functions are mandatory
- Users can create/manage their Resume (Figure 1):

If you choose ‘Import from LinkedIn’ button, a window will popup to request permission which can access your LinkedIn information (Figure 2):

After that, information will be filled on your resume and you will be directed to create resume page.
- Employers can search CVs, there are some search tools that can help you find the right person for the jobs, it is on the index page (Figure 3):

- Company can post/manage jobs on company place of Job Posting module (Figure 4):

- Job Seekers can search and apply for jobs, when you apply a job on Job Posting, you may use your existing resumes (Figure 5):

- Site Administrators can manage overall process on the site, they can manage resumes (Figure 6):

3. How Resume and Social Connect are perfectly match for your members?
If your site has the Social Connect module, your users can signup/login by using LinkedIn provider. After clicking on the LinkedIn icon, a window will popup and they can do quick signup/login by LinkedIn account (Figure 9):

After logging in, they can press the ‘Import from LinkedIn’ anytime to pull their information from this provider to phpFox site. This step will be processed automatically because their LinkedIn account is connected on phpFox site (Figure 10):

4. What difference between Closed Site/Opened Site?
For some sites, they setup to open everything even information regarding to Resume for everyone to search without pay any fee. Of course, Search is available on Public Resumes only. With Resume Group/Member Level Setting, this request can be done easily.

When you turn the ‘View all Resumes’ to ‘Yes’ (Figure 11), the User Group can view all resumes on your site like this (Figure 12):

If you turn the highlight setting to ‘No’, your users can only see their friend resumes (Figure 13):

If they request a ‘View All Resumes’ service on the above link, Administrators of the site can grant or deny it on ‘Manage Service’ page on adminCP (Figure 14):

Users can use the ‘Who viewed me service’ to know the list of person who view their resumes. The page link is on the main menu (Figure 15):

5. How to monetary with Resume and Job Posting?
With Resume and Job Posting, there are various ways for site owner to make profit from them, those are:
– Services of Resume.
– Packages of Job Posting.
– Sponsors companies and feature jobs of Job Posting.
- Services of Resumes:
On the section 4 we have mentioned this, site owner can make money from the ‘View resume service’ and ‘Who viewed me service’ . People will pay for those useful service for their needs. Please refer to that section for more information.
- Packages of Job Posting:
Job Posting support ‘Packages’ service for company who want to post jobs on your site. Everytime they want to publish jobs, they need a bought package or buy a new one (Figure 16):

- Sponsors companies and feature jobs of Job Posting:
These are the ways that make the paid companies and paid jobs to be more attractive than other, when user create company or post jobs, the module will ask them if they want to feature or sponsor the items. you can find the setting on adminCP for the fees (Figure 18):

The sponsor companies and feature jobs can be recognized easily on the front end. They will be showed on the slideshow that lay on top of the pages (Figure 19 and Figure 20):
